Facts and protected expression

Boatpedia distinguishes factual information from protected expression. Boat names, builder names, model names, specifications, prices, dates, locations, listing status, source URLs, and other factual observations may be indexed, normalized, compared, and displayed to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

Boatpedia does not seek to copy third-party photos, videos, listing prose, seller remarks, protected page layouts, or source database structure as a substitute for the original source. If protected material appears on Boatpedia without authorization, send a notice with enough detail for review.

Fair use and fair dealing

Boatpedia may rely, where applicable, on fair use, fair dealing, permitted-use, research, study, teaching, scholarship, criticism, comment, news-reporting, quotation, computational data analysis, text-and-data-mining, interoperability, and public-interest exceptions or defenses.

The purpose and character of Boatpedia use is educational, referential, comparative, source-attributive, analytical, transformative, and market-informational. Boatpedia seeks to use only what is reasonably necessary for those purposes and to avoid substituting for protected third-party expression or the source service itself.

Source attribution and database claims

Boatpedia may identify third-party builders, brokers, marketplaces, publishers, and sources for attribution, nominative reference, comparison, interoperability, and source integrity. Such references do not imply sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation unless stated in writing.

If a notice asserts database, compilation, neighboring, copyright, contract, trademark, unfair-competition, or similar rights in source data, identify the claimed right, jurisdiction, affected source, alleged protected material, and why the requested action is required. Boatpedia reserves all rights, defenses, and exceptions.

Contributor rights

By submitting content, users confirm they have the rights needed to share it and allow Boatpedia to host, format, display, and moderate it for service purposes.

Public data use

Boatpedia is operated by Nemo App Pte Ltd. Boatpedia is an indexing, research, comparison, and price-tracking service for marine information.

Boatpedia reserves the right, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, to use lawfully accessible public facts and factual observations for search, indexing, education, research, commentary, comparison, alerting, price-history, source-quality, deduplication, anti-fraud, safety, and market-analysis purposes.

Boatpedia adds new purpose, context, and meaning by transforming dispersed public facts and source observations into normalized boat records, source citations, trend charts, price-change alerts, comparable-market context, educational guides, safety reminders, and buyer research tools.

These uses are intended to inform the public, improve market transparency, support research and teaching, help users compare factual claims, and reduce fraud or confusion. They are not intended to replace the original source market for third-party listings, photos, broker descriptions, editorial articles, manuals, or marketplace services.

Public facts, not expressive substitution

Boatpedia treats bare facts, market prices, specifications, dates, locations, identifiers, availability status, and source links as factual information, not as third-party expressive authorship. Boatpedia does not intend to copy or substitute for third-party protected expression, marketplace page design, listing prose, photos, videos, broker remarks, or seller contact channels.

Public market monitoring stores normalized factual observations and derived signals. The service should drive users back to original sources for transaction detail, seller contact, photos, broker materials, and current availability.

Access boundaries

Boatpedia public fact monitoring is designed for resilient ordinary public access: public pages, canonical and mobile public URLs, public structured data, public redirects, public JSON/data endpoints used by public pages, retry queues, user-submitted URLs, user-uploaded documents, partner or licensed feed fallback, manual factual review, and public records that do not require account credentials, payment-wall access, CAPTCHA solving, hacked access, impersonation, active block evasion, or access-control bypass.

Source-specific requests, corrections, attribution questions, and takedown concerns can be sent to support for review.

Notices and disputes

Send source, rights, attribution, privacy, or takedown notices to ahoy@boatpedia.co. Include the relevant Boatpedia URL, source URL, claimed right, affected material, requested action, and authority to act for the rights holder.

Boatpedia may correct, remove, de-index, rate-limit, relabel, attribute, anonymize, or continue displaying material after review. Any voluntary action is without admission of liability and without prejudice to Boatpedia or Nemo App Pte Ltd.
